Time to Craft!

It has been so long since I posted to this blog. I've been in a real crafting slump :(  I just could not seem to find the creativity, time or energy to craft. I have several unfinished projects sitting on my desk right now. I finally sat down and made myself finish a card for my cousin's b-day. My coloring is not the best, but it felt good just to have my copic markers in my hand once again. I love this saturated canary digi. What better way to try and get my mojo back!

Recovering Benton

Today I used my Recovering Benton stamp for the second time. It seems that I have had the need for get well cards lately. I also used my brand new tear drop circle spellbinder die. The paper is Grandma's Attic Collectibles that I had left over after completing cards for a swap. The sketch was from the weekend challenge over on the SOC site and I will be sending the card to one of the sistahs on the site who is need of warm wishes.

Pickles & Ice Cream

My niece is pregnant with her first child. I made this card to welcome baby Ashton into the world. I found this cute image on the Saturated Canary site. The sketch that I used came Mojo Monday. I plan to enter this card into this week's  Saturated Canary challenge along with this week's Mojo Monday challenge. If it's not too late I will also enter it into the Anything Goes challenge on CMC.

Not feeling beary good?

I made this card for a scrapping sista who is under the weather. The sketch I used is from MFT. I used my new Memory Box Quinn Flourish die with some MME Paris & Co paper. This cute little guy is Recovering Benton from Inky Antics.  I plan to enter this card in the CMC challenge.

Mojo 231

I created this card using mojo monday sketch #231. I am also entering this card into Mema's March challenge. Mema's challenge was to use your favorite color combo. I like to use black and cream together but I thought I would add just a touch of red to make it pop a bit.
This card is for my sister. I wanted to remind her that God is always there when we need him. The red was for her as well as it is her favorite color.

A Thank You Card

I made this card for my son's teacher. She goes above and beyond the call of duty so I felt a small thank you was very necessary. I already had this cute little image ready to go as I colored her in Suzanne Dean's class. This card will also be entered into this month's challenge over on Mema's blog.

Where the River Runs 2

Here I go again with another card for the CMC Bookendz group. This is the second card I created after reading Where the River Runs. The quote is just a reminder that when a person passes, not all memories are bad. Sometimes the memories are just what we need to get through the hard times.

Love2

I guess you can tell that I like the Color Me Creative Classroom site. This card was made for the February CMC Love2 challenge. Keeping Valentine's Day in mind, I was to use the colors red, pink, white and cream. You can't tell from this pic, but the bear is red. Unfortunately the lighting was bad tonight and I needed to just get the pic before I fell of to sleep. I added a little stickles to bling him up a bit.

Where the River Runs

Woohoo! There were only two entries for the Bookendz group January project and guess who was randomly selected...yes, that's right me..yay me.! Each month one of the project entries is randomly selected, and if chosen, you have the opportunity to create a project in the theme of next month's book. This month's book is Where the River Runs by Patti Callahan Henry. One of the opening passages describes Meridy wearing a lime green party dress while riding her pink bicycle with her new friend Danny. I have only read about half of the book but it is an enjoyable read so far. If you like to read come and join us in the Bookend group on the Color Me Creative Classroom site.

I love the color combo chocolate, vanilla and strawberry. I thought I would kill two birds with one stone by using this color combo( from card-d- ology) along with the sketch from Mema's Crafts January challenge. I had fun playing with my copics for this one too. This lovely image was a rak from one of my SOC sistahs. So far i've done really well not buying any new crafty items this year. I stuck to my guns and used what I had on hand for all the cards that i've made thus far. Wish me luck...CHA is around the corner...and the Scrapbook Expo too...I know I can..I know I can...I know I can

SSSC150

OK, i'm on a roll. Two cards in a 24 hour period. I created this card for the CMC Bookendz Challenge using Sweet Sunday Sketch # 150. This stamp is one i've had for a while from MFT. I'm sure at one point or another we could all relate to the sentiment!

Retro

I've been at it again. I made this card for the retro challenge on CMC. While I don't consider this image retro, I did use the correct colors...hot pink, black and white.

Sparkle

I haven't played with my Loralie stamps in a while. Today I decided to use this stamp for the CMC challenge. The challenge was to use the colors cream, white and gold. I thought she looked as if she were dressed to go out on New Year's Eve so here she is. My first card for 2012. Happy New Year!
