Kindle Love

Hello crafty ladies! I created this layout using the sketch for the Grand Divas Scrappy Place challenge. I also plan to submit this entry for  Challenge Yourself #21. The paper is from the Fancy Pants Trendsetter line and I used my new stamps from Sugar Pea designs.

Tic Tac Toe Challenge

I created this layout for the July Challenge on Rochelle Spear's blog
http://rochellespears.blogspot.com/2015/07/july-tic-tac-toe-scrappy-friends.html. I mixed a little too much mist in with my texture paste so the color is darker than I planned. I didn't want to trash the paper so I had to go with it.  My son and I were taking an ice cream break after swim lessons when I tried to take his picture and was too slow to get my phone out. I asked him to smile for the camera when I finally got my phone out and this was his response...THE LOOK. I don't know why he hates taking pictures so much.

Sketches in Thyme May Challenge

I created this layout for the Sketches in Thyme May challenge. The first picture is before surgery and the second is a couple of weeks after (Can you see the happy face on the knee?). The paper is by Fancy Pants. It is from the Trendsetter collection.

Wild Child

We spent spring break camping in Big Sur. This photo is not the best, but the beach was beautiful. The sand, when wet, turned a beautiful shade of purple. I am entering this layout into the Stuck Sketches April challenge and also the Scrap Our Stash April Challenge. The word of the month for April is stamp.

WHOGAS March Sketch Challenge

I found this old pic of my son who is now 25 years old. I used a pagemap sketch and created this layout for the March Who Gives a Scrap sketch challenge. The paper is from the Fancy Pants Be Different line.

On the VictoriaMarie facebook group there was an ingredient challenge. I had to use three patterned papers, one solid paper, at least five diecuts, mixed media of your choice and a textured element. As you can see there is no mixed media element on the paper but I did meet all the other requirements.

Scrap Our Stash - Washi

I created this layout with my first kit purchased from Scraptastic. The kits have everything you need to create a layout. The challenge for this month on Scrap Our Stash is to create a layout using items that begin with letters from the word washi. I used :
w...white paper for background and white doily
a...alphas
s...sticker border
h...hearts
i...inked the edges of my papers

My Creative Sketches February Challenge

I found these old pictures of my oldest son that I had never scrapped. I believe he was about 11 years old. I love these pictures because they really show his personality. He had gotten hurt on the first pic and as you can see he is still smiling. He has always been the happiest child. Whenever you see him, he will greet you with a warm smile and as you can see in the second pic he is a silly goose.

Go Broncos!

I created this layout for the Scrap Our Stash sketch challenge. I found all of these items in my stash. I had these SEI borders and couldn't figure out what to do with them. I also found this Recollection notebook paper and the MAMBI stickers that I have been hoarding forever.   The picture is an oldie but goodie from when my son played flag football. When I saw the sketch I hoped that I could pull together a layout. This is what I came up with.

Sketch N Scrap #73

OK, three posts in one day. That is definitely a record for me. I created this layout for the Sketch N Scrap Challenge #73. I have decided not to buy any new paper until I have used a good portion of what I already have. These papers are a few years old and came from a Crate Paper collection. I'm not sure which one. The sketch called for three wallet sized photos so I just cut this one in thirds.

My Creative Sketches, January Sketch

Two posts in one day woohoo! I hope to get a couple of layouts done today. I found this absolutely adorable pic of my son who is now 25 years old. I created this layout using the My Creative Sketches January sketch. Happy crafting!

MFT Wednesday Sketch 213

Hello crafters! I created this card for one of my son's friends for his 11th birthday. I used the Karate Boy Pure Innocence stamp from My Favorite Things. The paper is an Echo Park collection called That's My Boy.

Man Down!

This layout was created for the My Minds Eye December sketch challenge. I used the Boy Crazy paper line. The photo depicts bruising on my sons thigh from his all day paintball stint. He chuckled when I showed him the title. Two layouts in two days, that must be a record for me. I am just so thankful to have had this time to craft. There is nothing like playing with pretty paper! Happy crafting!

Happy New Year!

Here is another layout to be entered into the Scrap Our Stash Challenge.

For this challenge I had to include an item from my stash for each letter in the word twine.
T - two pictures
W- boy wonder sticker
I - inked the edges of my paper
N - old but never used My Mind's Eye paper
E - sticker embellishments
I may have pushed the envelope with a couple of the letters but it was the best I could do. I love the Scrap Our Stash Challenge blog. I have so much paper that I have never used, but as long as the challenges keep coming, there is still hope. Happy crafting!
